The predictive modelling is powered by the most extensive and granular data available, internally collected by the company’s tech team and qualitative analysts. The heritage of the company lies in the expertise of a betting syndicate run by one of the founding partners, which the company powers the pricing for.

The company’s data collection and predictive modelling originated in football. In recent years this has extended into US sports, meaning the company now holds an extensive pricing, product and content portfolio across a range of sports.

Henry Newman

Henry's professional experience spans across the gaming sector, sports analytics and professional football. The combined knowledge gained from these three industries drives the decision making and strategy behind the company's pricing, content and product offerings to both Operators and Providers internationally.

With a wealth of experience in sports betting, predictive modelling and professional sport, Rory heads up the Betting & Analytics within the company. This comprises of management of the company's trading team, leading modelling alongside the data science team and being responsible for all pricing generated by the company.

Isuru Perera

Isuru Perera joined Sporting Risk Ltd in 2018 as a Data Scientist upon completion of his MSc in Analytics and Operational Research from the University Of Manchester. His role involves coding and automation of Football statistics, Betting statistics, Data driven written content and generating visualisations on BetitRight and is skilled in developing various other data analytics products in sports. When Isuru is not at work, he enjoys playing cricket and occasionally hitting the gym.

Combining a mathematical background with a passion for football, Alex’s role covers predictive modelling and performance review of players and teams. He joined Sporting Risk in 2019 after completing a Maths Master’s at Imperial College London, and away from work is a Fulham FC season ticket holder and captain of InterGen Futsal Club.

Vinny Banks

Vinny is part of the data science team here at Sporting Risk. After an 8-year stint in the automotive industry specialising in simulation modelling, he joined the team here in August 2020. His role here is varied ranging from managing incoming data to working closely with live feeds and product quality. Away from work he is a season ticket holder at Wolves.

Dean has been with Sporting Risk since 2017 and is an integral part of the company in his role as Head of Product. Having graduated from Law School in 2000, Dean spent 11 years working for a City of London law firm before transitioning in to football in 2011. Over the past 11 years, Dean has amassed elite experience as a Coach, Analyst & Scout within Professional football, alongside experience working for Sporting Risk in the Betting Sector.

Ash is Content Manager at Sporting Risk, and has been with the company for 4 years. He joined the team after completing his Sports Journalism degree at Solent University. Ash leads on all content generated by Sporting Risk relating to the company's range of B2B product offerings, as well working closely on the company's social media channels.

Will has over 12 years’ experience working within the sports betting and iGaming industries. Having cut his teeth in the agency world, he founded OpticsPR in 2020, a Custom PR & communications consultancy for iGaming, sports betting and sports tech which works closely with Sporting Risk to communicate the company’s core product offerings into the gaming sector.
